Roland Picza 3D Laser Scanner
This small scale scanner allows you to produce CAD data from real 3D objects.

Maximum size of scan chamber: 400mm high and 230mm diameter. File format produced: STL

Scan data can be sent directly to a rapid prototyping machine which can recreate the object scanned.or the STL file can be manipulated or edited using 3D CAD software.

For his Autonomatic project, Lost and Forgotten Objects, Dave Emblin scanned the broken end of a fork handle in order to produce an RP model from which a mould could be made to cast a final metal part- a dibber for sowing seed.
